PLO Foundation Programmes

Africa Mentorship Programme

This programme is aimed at inculcating African principles, values and cultures in the youth with the intention of imparting positive change socially, politically and economically for the transfortmation of the African Youth while providing a platform for dialogue and networking with the ultimate goal of transforming Africa.

Education

Education is one of the most effective tools for social and economic transformation and unfortunately, many gifted students face the harsh reality of financial struggles, forcing them to abandon their academic dreams. We identify needy and brilliant students, and support their education. A number of students have benefited from this initiative.

Book Donations

We believe that access to books is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Books open doors to knowledge, creativity, and limitless possibilities, yet many rural schools struggle with inadequate library resources. Through our Rural Schools Library Development Initiative, we are working to bridge this gap by donating books to deserving schools and equipping their libraries with the tools necessary for academic success and personal growth.

Excellence Award Scheme

The Foundation currently sponsors Awards in collaboration with different institutions. The Foundation plans to expand and institutionalise these award schemes through the establishment of Endowment Funds.

Annual Medical Camps

We organise annual Medical Camps in rural and low-income urban areas. Some of the medical camps that we have organised include ‘HEALERS’ MEDICAL CAMP held in partnership with Orwa Ojode Foundation, on 24th September, 2014 in Ndhiwa.

Advocacy and Conflict Resolution

We contribute to building more peaceful and just societies across Africa by supporting initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, promote human rights, and address the root causes of conflict.
