Prof. PLO Lumumba, PhD
Founder and Chairman
Prof. PLO – Lumumba is the Founder and Chairman of the PLO Lumumba Foundation Ltd. He is a renowned Lawyer and founding Partner of Lumumba & Lumumba Advocates Law Firm. He has over 35 years years experience in legal practice and is an academician holding a Doctorate degree on The Law of the Sea from Ghent University in Belgium. Prof. Lumumba is an Advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Tanzania, a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. He is a Certified Secretary , a Certified Mediator and an author of several books in the legal and other fields. He is a passionate Pan-Africanist and is the leading Voice for Africa and of Africa.
Celestine A. Otieno
Executive Director
As the Foundation Director, Ms. Otieno develops policies for the Foundation and approvals for projects across multiple countries. Ms Otieno is a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with over 34 years experience in the Banking and Financial sector. She holds a Law degree from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Legal Education from the Kenya School of Law. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. She is also a Certified Secretary (CS), a Certified Governance Auditor and a Corporate Governance Consultant. She is a member of the Institute of Directors ( Kenya)- IOD (K).
Christine Tantuo
Advisory Board Member
Christine has over 15 years’ experience in commercial business across the African continent. A former Senior Executive for technology companies in, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, Christine is well versed in managing complex cross border engagements across multiple boundaries while maintaining international relationships at a high level. She has also led various high-level private sector transactions in the technology space in the East African region. She is a former Chair of the Africa Women & Child Feature Service (AWCFS). Christine is an alumnus of Strathmore University (Kenya) and IESE Business School, Barcelona.
Jerutoh Mworia
Officer, Support Services
Jerutoh has been involved with the Foundation for two years. Jerutoh is the primary point of contact for internal and external Foundation clients. She manages and follows up communication and schedules including meetings and recording important matters. She is responsible for planning and management of meetings, conference calls, virtual events and seminars, travel arrangements and liaising with external parties such as the media, donors and managing communication with the volunteer teams across the continent.
Rose Angulu
Executive Secretary/Programs Assistant
Rose has been with the Foundation for one year and her responsibilities include personalized secretarial and administrative support for the Foundation team. Rose works on a variety of tasks including preparing correspondence to local and international partners and is the point of contact between the foundation teams and partners. Her responsibilities including setting reminders for meetings, appointments and other important tasks.
