Driving positive change for a brighter tomorrow.

The PLO Lumumba Foundation Programmes

Africa Mentorship Programme
This programme is aimed at inculcating African principles, values and cultures in the youth with the intention of imparting positive change socially, politically and economically for the transfortmation of the African Youth while providing a platform for dialogue and networking with the ultimate goal of transforming Africa.

Education
Education is one of the most effective tools for social and economic transformation and unfortunately, many gifted students face the harsh reality of financial struggles, forcing them to abandon their academic dreams. We identify needy and brilliant students, and support their education. A number of students have benefited from this initiative.

Book Donations
We believe that access to books is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Books open doors to knowledge, creativity, and limitless possibilities. Through our Rural Schools Library Development Initiative, we are working to bridge this gap by donating books to deserving schools and equipping their libraries with the tools necessary for academic success and personal growth.

Excellence Award Scheme at the University of Nairobi
The Foundation currently sponsors Awards in collaboration with different institutions. The Foundation plans to expand and institutionalise these award schemes through the establishment of Endowment Funds.

Annual Medical Camps
We organise annual Medical Camps in rural and marginalized areas through our “HEALERS MEDICAL CAMP” in partnerships with volunteer doctors and pharmaceutical institutions of goodwill.

Advocacy and Conflict Resolution
We contribute to building more peaceful and just societies across Africa by supporting initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, promote human rights, and address the root causes of conflict.

Inaugration Of The PLO Africa Innovation Club
The PLO Lumumba Foundation, through its Africa Mentorship Programme, launched the maiden PLO Africa Innovation Club in Obuasi Senior High Technical School on Friday, 25th July 2025. Speaking at the launch, and on behalf of the PLO Lumumba Foundation, Razak Awudu expressed his appreciation to the management and staff of Obuasi SHTS for collaborating with the Foundation to nurture young students in technology, creativity and innovation. He tasked the club members to start working on their first project, which is the production of drones intended to supply water for irrigation systems for farmers in the rural communities, thereby solving the issue of perennial drought resulting in low yield during dry seasons.
The Foundation donated an amount as seed funds to the club for the purpose of procuring various tools and kits needed for the project. The launch was attended by Prof. Eugene Atiemo, the board chairman of Obuasi SHTS, Solomon Nchor (Club Coordinator), ING. Daniel Asare (AngloGold Ashanti), Mr. Iddrisu Abdul-Razak (Ghana Chapter), Assist. Headmaster of Obuasi SHTS, among others. The Foundation will be replicating the Africa Innovation Club project across Africa in the coming months.
