Érica Meline (Cape Verde)
Érica Meline Silva Gomes Miranda is a Cape Verdean student of International Relations and Diplomacy.
Currently, she serves as vice-president of the National Federation of Students and University Sports (FNEDU) and coordinator of the International Cooperation and Student Association.
Following a successful mentorship at the PLO-AMP, Erica founded the Movement for Civic Action (MAC) and the League of University Associations of Santiago (LAUS).
The Gender Activist has since been honored as Cape Verde’s most influential young leader by the Confederation of West African Youth Awards 2019 and as Top 25 Young African Leaders by Young Entrepreneurs International Summit 2019.
Erica dedicates herself to upholding student rights, gender equality, and women empowerment by repeatedly emphasizing the interdependence of the three pillars for a better Africa – peace, sustainable development, and human rights.
She believes with strong, cohesive and just Africa will easily deliver the African dream much quicker than many anticipate.
